FILL YOUR GUTTERS WITH WATER WITH EASE –
NO LADDERS REQUIRED
BUSH FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR HOME
When installed on your home downpipes, the Watergate allows for your gutters to be quickly and easily backfilled with water. This is one of the key recommendations made by the NSW RFS when it comes to preparing your home for a bushfire. The Watergate is a cheaper alternative to a full roof sprinkler system, that can be costly to install and produce a lot of water wastage.
DIVERT EXCESS WATER TO YOUR TANK
To obtain maximum performance of the water gate ensure all downpipes and gutter joints are sealed with a suitable adhesive. This will ensure optimum performance for backfilling gutters, cleaning gutters and water storage. To maintain flexibility of the Watergate gasket, it is advised that a suitable lubricant be applied frequently.
When the device is installed, it allows for excess water to be diverted to a water tank for storage during times of rain. This is a simple way to conserve water and keep it in your water tank to be used during drier periods.
The Watergate now comes with a one-way valve to make backfilling and cleaning your gutters even easier.
The Watergate is available to suit all shapes and sizes of downpipe.
100 mm x 75 mm
100 mm x 50 mm
90 mm round
The Watergate diverter is necessary on all downpipes of your home. Once installed, by following the step by step instructions, attach your garden hose and you are ready to either backfill your gutters or conserve rain water.
When the Watergate is installed for fire protection it is important to ensure that all downpipes and guttering is sealed with a suitable sealant to avoid leakage.
